Invoice payment
Pay an invoice
Rather not use a card?
Pay by email instead
Put the invoice number in the message and say which entry or shipment it covers if you know. You will get remittance instructions back from the same people who filed the entry, so a question about the charge itself can be answered in the same reply.

Check the invoice number against the invoice in front of you, and check the company it was issued to. If a payment instruction reached you by email and the details differ from the last set you were given, stop and confirm with the office first. Invoice interception, where a real invoice is copied and the remittance details are changed, is common enough in freight to be worth the two minutes.
A payment that has been authorised is not the same as a payment that has cleared, and the invoice is settled on the second one. See what happens after the form.
